Following a fantastic final day of the Chatsworth Country Fair, we are aware that a number of visitors experienced delays exiting the event. Our traffic management plan was in operation until 10pm, to ensure exiting vehicles left as quickly and safely as possible.
The delay was caused by heavy volumes of traffic on the roads with cars leaving the country fair following the Red Arrows display adding to visitors to the Peak District National Park departing after a beautiful day. Further disruption was caused by cars parked along the roads to watch the Red Arrows and a collision on the B6012.
As with every event, we will be reviewing our procedures to continually improve for the future, and will take all feedback on board.
